Christmas part 1

My parents just bought a bunk bed for when the the grand kids come visit. Who doesn't love a bunk bed? This one is great because both beds are full size. I really want one! Probably should have a house first:) When it's Darrin's night to tuck the kids in.......I often find all three boys tuckered out!
Colby and Ethan love the trampoline. I loved having one growing up and it is nice because it is in the ground. Much safer. The kids and I always have a blast on it.

This Christmas we went shooting, I love shooting. Soooooo much fun. Kayle has a handgun which is super powerful and had a nice kick to it. Darrin really loved this bad boy and Kayle would start from where we were shooting and take a ton of shots walking and jogging up to the target. I swear it was like watching some undercover agent/ James Bond kind of thing. Pretty sweet! Darrin was great at knocking off all of the targets we lined up.
( We also (each couple) bought an airsoft gun and we would print off a target and have competitions in the basement, I love those things!!)

The day we went shooting, it was freezing! By the end, Candice and I would warm up in the car and only get out when someone else was nice enough to load up the guns:) This gun we borrowed from the Dunkley's, it was super fun. You could load 2 shells and when you pulled the trigger the smoking shell would fly out, how awesome! I really want this bad boy, it's kind of heavy for me so I would leave the gun down until the skeet was thrown than lift it and aim. My shot might improve if I held it up the whole time!

Candice and I had a blast. Her official gun stance, that's how people shoot right? We had all of the fun while the guys were nice enough to go set up the targets( thanks to Darrin's massive pop addiction we had plenty) P.S. The guns not loaded, We do practice gun safety!!

I am shooting my dad's 22. I think this is my favorite gun. It is super lightweight and no kick, I am more comfortable with this one so my aim is a little better. Candice, my dad and I would have competitions to see who could knock down all of the cans. My dad hit every single one. Let's just say Candice and I had fun! :) At least I have swagger when I shoot!! HAHA

Christmas w/ the Craners

We had a great time, we were able to hang out with family, play games, eat yummy food, relax and enjoy Christmas vacation.

It is now a Craner tradition to have a dinner where the adults are the waiters and the kids are the guests. This year we had a 50's diner. We had a blast. The basement got decked out, we had a milkshake bar, homemade fries and onion rings, hamburgers, hot dogs and chicken nuggets.

These are pictures of all of the nieces and nephews that were in Utah for Christmas, and below is Tammy and Karli cranking up awesome milkshakes.

Here is Darrin, Brandon and Pat jamming out for the restaurant. They sang a couple tunes for the kids, they get totally into it, it is awesome, should have been there.

Temple Square Lights

We made the drive up to SLC to see the temple lights. First off, it was freezing! We were all so cold. We are now way to used to California weather. Brrrrrrrrrr, good thing there is a Starbucks on every block. Second, kindof dissappointed in the lights. Maybe I remember them differently when I was younger because I was younger but I swear the lights used to be way better. They still have a lot but now not every little tree is covered. That is the point of looking at the lights! I think I am going to start a fund for better temple square lights. :) Anyways, Darrins oldest brother David and his family met up with us and that was fun. We did get some great picts, I do like the reflecting pool how they had the statue of Joseph, Mary and Jesus, I think that was my fav part.

I wonder if me thinking layering a ton of shirts and jackets and coats is counter productive because I was still freezing! On another note, we had to keep bending down to take take pictures next to Ethan, it was to cold to keep getting him in and out of the stroller. What a trooper!

Trip of Monterey

Darrin is in his busy season at work, at first I thought the busy season was a couple of months but I am pretty sure busy season for him is like 9 months out of the year. This last month has been especially hard, when he is in the field him and Bryan will wake up at 3:30-4 and get done close to 11 or midnight. Yeah, CRAZY hours. My hubby works really really really hard, and the kids and I appreciate everything he does for us. He was going to Vegas again, they do a lot of work in Las Vegas, I decided to be brave and travel with the kids. I have been on tons of flights with the kiddos but I have never driven farther than the beaches and San Diego. I decided to be brave and drive the 6-7 hour drive to Monterey to visit my sister Candice and her hubby Kayle. I am extremely proud of myself that I went and did something like that on my own. That was a long drive but it was nice to explore a new area and hang out with family. I had a great time in Monterey and had a blast hanging out with my sis.

My Man, Powell Time

We went to Lake Powell this summer, I have fallen in love with this place. I love how peaceful it is to be away and how gorgeous it is. My mom and sister were so sweet and watched Colby for us while we went and played. I have to say it was SUPER hard to leave Colby for the first time but I shouldn't have worried because he was in great care and probably had way for fun with them!

This is my favorite picture of the trip. I love taking pictures of Darrin when he is wakeboarding, he is so good! He would also kill me if I said this. : o  He decided to be funny and pose for me, I can't believe he looks so nonchalant. Darrin is probably going to be embarrased that I put this picture up but I LOVE it.:)

What a stud!!

Yep, he's still got it! He just wears a million braces now. (Tehe)

Our really good friends Bryan and Kathryn came with us to Lake Powell. They have become great family friends and we always have a great time with them.

Kathryn and myself, I know I have the sexiest hair during Lake Powell week!!

Panama City Beach

We had a Blast!
The Sand was incredible and the water was crystal clear! Gabe and Carrie know how to show people a good time. We went to the beach every day and learned to surf and scoop up Jelly fish and throw them on the sand. We took one day and went to a sink hole lake that was a mile across and a thousand feet deep and went wakeboarding and barbecued.

One of the pictures is of Clarissa learning how to windsurf and another is Darrin sitting in a chair with his wakeboard on about to attempt a 300 foot beach start (it did not go so well). We are definitely going to go back some day. Gabe and Carrie said that anyone is welcome any time.

Here is Gabe and Carrie's house. This house was so cool. The downstairs could be blocked off and turned into a rental. On the third floor was the master suite and you walked up a spiral staircase to get to it, this was an awesome house and a walk across the street to the beach! So cool.

Some Guy Wakeboarding

Here's a little video of some guy who thinks pretty highly of himself to make a video which only shows... well himself. He has requested that we not reveal his identity.

Famous Rainbow Bridge, It was SO hot that day, and like me I did not put sunscreen on, I learned that when you are in a boat all day, you need it. It might not feel like it; when you are going fast and you feel the wonderful wind on your body, but you do. You still get fried!!! Such a great sight but WOW I got fried like a lobster. :(

Grand Canyon

The Grand Canyon was a great trip! We went with Scott and Dawn's family and Pat. We didn't realize how much there was to do there. Since we only had a couple of days we only saw the most popular sites. One day we went to a canon sponsored photography workshop. They gave us Rebel SLR's to use during the class and broke us into groups with our own instructors. They taught us how to use the cameras and play with the histogram. At the end they took our memory cards and burned the photos onto a CD Rom. It was a great experience!
We wanted to go on a hike but we did not have enough time. We did think that this warning poster of heat exhaustion was pretty funny. The guy in the picture is hocking up a lung. Clarissa is making a nice impression. We got some pretty cool pictures and are definitely going to back one day, but next time we are going to go back on a rafting trip.

Darrin and I wanted to go out on the rocks and get a good picture so we dragged Pat with us, here he is, he is not to fond of the height. Thanks Pat, you are awesome.

Byers Family Reunion part 2

Darrin wake boarding, what a stud!!! This was hard too because the boat in Canada doesn't have a tower and when you are 6'4 that matters!
Here are my wonderful Grandparents. Grandma and Grandpa Byers. Darrin and I designed these awesome shirts for everyone at the reunion!

Here is the whole crew in our amazing t-shirts! I have such an awesome group of cousins and family.

Darrin and I on the canoe!

Here is my cousin and myself, after this ride... I don't think I trust him on a jet ski, he is fast and I am a wuss!  He is awesome, he went to the Summer Olympics In Greece, what a stud.

Every time we go to Canada on our way up we stop in Coeur d'alene, one of the prettiest places ever. I love it here, this is one of my top places I would love to live, anyways we always stop at the Coeur d'alene hotel and eat and go on the boardwalk. Sigh, so pretty, I miss this place already!
Here is my mom and her siblings. The reason we had this big reunion was to celebrate their 50th Wedding Anniversary. They are such a cute couple together. I can't wait to celebrate my own!
